BoConcept Descends on Jersey City with Danish Design

Jersey City has turned into the new go-to spot for Brooklyn expats (there’s actually affordable living there relative to NYC), and now the Danish modern and contemporary furniture company, BoConcept, is giving it some love. Check out this new JC condo space (it has serious city views) the store decorated. I wanted to move in. You will too.

A bedroom is all about creating a serene space. You can keep the colors neutral and play with texture. A pin-tucked duvet cover is classic but not boring, while the patterned pillows add to the theme. Tip: Add an interesting element to dove gray walls with whimsical wall art, like the birds seen here.

Create a reading nook in your bedroom. Not only will it give you a cozy place to be sucked in by your favorite book, it’s also a good alternative place for tossing your clothes instead of on the floor. Why? You’re an adult and clothes do not belong on the floor!

Clean eating gets a new spin with this slick table (look how shiny!) and minimalist chairs. A cowhide rug adds warmth but is completely modern with its grid-like patchwork detailing.

This room with a view has that cool retro vibe (read: look at those colors and shapes!). A goldenrod couch that could look like your grandmother’s oldie is all modern when paired with a silver shag rug, modular coffee table and copper elements.

Everyone needs a little outside time and a low-set lounge area is just the ticket for warm-weather entertaining for four, or even just one (because that after-work glass of wine tastes better with a view).
