Crazy-Easy Whiskey Sours
Your go-to whiskey cocktail just got upgraded to a highball glass. Ditch the sour mix and shake up your own at home.
What You’ll Need (makes 1 drink):
- 3 oz. fresh-squeezed lemon juice (from 6 to 8 medium-sized lemons)
- 2 oz. whiskey
- 1 tablespoon of agave or honey
Step 1: Slice your lemons into halves. Buy 6 to 8 medium-sized ones to make sure you have enough juice. (Nothing’s worse than a whiskey sour that’s, well, all whiskey.)
Step 2: Pour 3 ounces (that’s equal to 2 shots) of lemon juice into a shaker. Add about 2 shots of your whiskey of choice to the mix as well. Shake to combine.
Step 3: Thanks to all of that tart flavor, you’re going to want to add anywhere from 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon of a natural sweetener like honey or agave. Just make sure whatever you add is stirred in completely.
Step 4: Pour over ice and garnish with a lemon wedge. Now go out and enjoy the official last week of summer (with this drink in hand, of course). Cheers!
