Easy DIY Makeup Storage by Bridget Lappert of Broke But Bougie

I’m not a crafty person. I failed “cutting out shapes” in kindergarten and I’ve shied away from anything that involves glue, tape or scissors ever since. But this easy DIY makeup storage idea is something that even I can handle (it only took me 10 minutes to do). It’s a fantastic way to store all of your everyday makeup and it looks cute hanging in your bathroom. I also like that I can see what I have (and use most often); it helps me avoid unnecessary spending in the cosmetics department.

Here’s how to pull off this makeup storage board. Try it out and let me know what you think!

1. Magnetic bulletin board

2. Magnets

3. Super glue
4. Small containers – for brushes, lip balm, and other small items

  • These are also from Michaels but you could spray paint old pill bottles or get small cups from the dollar store

5. Your makeup!

How to do it step-by-step:

Start by super gluing your magnets to the small containers.

Then glue magnets to your larger items that won’t fit into your little cups.

Next stick everything up onto your board! (Depending on how heavy certain items are, you might need more than one magnet per item.)

That’s it! No joke. Easiest DIY project I’ve ever done. It looks cute, my makeup is organized and I didn’t fail!
