Organization Tip of the Day: Throw Away Anything You Don’t Need

The solution to your clutter is surprisingly simple — just throw away anything you don’t need.

How to do it:

This rule can apply to any space throughout your home; from your closet to your kitchen cabinet. While sorting through your possessions, remember to ask yourself:

  • How often do I use/wear this? (If the answer is once every six months, chances are it’s not a necessity.)
  • Do I own more than one of these? (This one’s easy. If the answer is yes, toss it.)

Expert tip: When sorting through clothes, a good rule of thumb is to toss anything that no longer fits. Your favorite pair of hip huggers from college is only taking up precious closet space.
