Organization Tip of the Day: Place Must-Read Mail Near the Front Door

Give an old bag a new trick by placing mail, magazines and other must-reads in a tote by the front door. That way, you can avoid scattering unopened mail all over your foyer table.

How to do it:

  • Find an empty tote that you no longer have use for and place it within reach near your front entryway.
  • As you sort through the daily mail, toss the letters and magazines you want to keep in the tote to save some table space.

Expert tip: Sort through your new mail carrier at the end of each week to eliminate junk mail and keep things clutter-free.
