Organization Tip of the Day: Designate Drop Spots for Jewelry
Photo: Heather Lipner / UncovetDo you constantly lose track of your rings, bracelets and necklaces? Place small, decorative bowls in strategic spots throughout your home that can serve as jewelry drop spots.
How to do it:
- Purchase two to four small, decorative bowls that are just large enough to hold a few rings and bracelets.
- Place your new jewelry “drop spots” in various areas throughout your home — on your bedside table, by the front door, next to the kitchen sink, etc.
Expert tip: Teacups are the perfect catch-all for your jewelry. We love these affordable (and adorable!) ones from Anthropologie.

Love the idea of storing towels on a winerack and color coding your filing.
I live in a small apartment and it has a pantry. I always have trouble with a place to store my pots and pans so I end up storing them in the oven. Not a great idea because when I have to use the oven I have to unload it of all the pots and pans so I decided the pantry would get better use if I use it to store the pots and pans and put the items from the pantry in the kitchen cupboards. Works great!
