Make sense of your mail by designating an easy place to toss it as well as an efficient way to sort it.

How to do it:

  • Choose a place where it’s easy to toss the mail: a desk in the kitchen, a drawer near the entryway.
  • Devise a good system using trays, baskets or file folders and label each for different categories.
  • Make sure to clean out the files regularly.

Expert tip: If you tend to ignore the mail, keep it in open containers. It’ll force you to deal.
