Cake Push Pops: The New, Cooler Cake Pop?
I’m at the International Home and Housewares Show in Chicago, and the number of cool things I’m seeing is absolutely mind-boggling. To give you a taste of what’s new in home goods this year, I’ll be blogging and sharing cool pics on Facebook throughout the show, as well as revealing new trends (and more!) after it’s over.
Today’s obsession is pretty sweet: Cake Push Pops by Bakelicious. You layer cake and frosting in BPA-free plastic push-pops that are shaped like the sherbet pops you loved as a kid — and viola! You have a gorgeous, portable dessert that offers all the goodness of a cupcake without the messy hands. Yes, push pops are similar to cake pops, those fondant-covered balls of cake on a stick that have been everywhere this past year. But we like that you get more dessert per serving with the push pops, and they’re even prettier than those cake lollipops. Another bonus: the dishwasher-safe plastic holders are reusable (available in stores next fall).
Stay tuned for more cool picks!
