Should You Be Married Before You Have a Baby?
Photo: The Jasmine BrandThe New Year brought surprising news of Kim Kardashian’s pregnancy. We couldn’t be happier for the expectant power-couple, but some people are hung up on the fact that Kim and Kanye are (gasp!) having a baby out of wedlock. In fact, one of those critics happens to be a member of the Kardashian clan. While hosting a New Year’s Eve Countdown in Miami on Monday, brother Rob Kardashian said, “I’m so proud of my sisters, but I’ll be married before I have a baby.”
Of course, the 25-year-old is referring to both Kim and Kourtney (mom to to Mason, 3, and Penelope, 7-months), both of whom aren’t married to their baby-daddies. But even though he’s not planning to start a family anytime soon, and he says he won’t become a father until he’s married, Rob couldn’t contain his excitement over his sister’s pregnancy. “Kim and Kanye are over the moon happy,” he said. “I’m so excited to be an uncle again!”

I think you should at least be divorced from your ex-husband before getting pregnant by your new man and while each persons journey is unique being married creates a more stable base for the child!
Kayne is going to let you finish, But he wants to make sure he has that baby first.
I think you should be married before starting a family. It’s the way God intended it to be. There is something very special about sharing your last name with your children and having a FAMILY name. Camila M. said her son Levi asked her why she.didn’t have the same last name as him, Vida and their father Matthew. She said it was then that she and Matthew started seriously talking about marriage. It’s important and that’s the way it should be.
I’m married but I still don’t have the same last name as my husband… When we have children it will still be a family! Families are a lot more than just a name.
The thing is, many people who are quick to frown upon a couple who has a baby out of wedlock seem to see nothing with having sex out of wedlock. My belief is that BOTH sex and childbearing were intended by God to be reserved for marriage. So unless Rob K. and all other critics are virgins saving themselves for marriage, it’s probably best that they simply pray for them, wish them well and keep it moving.
Personally, I think you should be married before having a child with someone – but that is an opinion I have as a result of my personal values and beliefs.
