My husband and I are the only people in both our families with small children which means that everyone wants us to be with them for the holidays. No one ever asks what WE want to do with OUR children as it is just assumed that we will plan to spend it with everyone else meaning my parents or his parents. At least his family celebrates everything on Christmas Eve.
