If you’re one of the millions of people who Tweet, you’ve probably been worried that your account was hacked. That’s because many of you received an email from the company yesterday warning that your account may have been compromised by an outside party not related to Twitter; as a result, the email said, your password had been reset.

Although some Twitter accounts were indeed hacked yesterday, it appears that Twitter officials overreacted–and many of the accounts originally thought to be affected were completely fine all along. When interviewed by Reuters, Twitter spokesperson Carolyn Penner wouldn’t say how many accounts were actually compromised, so there’s no telling whether this was a major breech of security or a minor one.
