This just in (our inbox): Reconnecting on the regular with people you care about through text messaging can improve your mood. This “news” might sound obvious, but it’s always reassuring when research confirms what you already suspected.
A recent study found that people’s moods were lifted after they received or responded to a text from a friend or family member. This was especially true when people were feeling stressed or lonely. So reach out with a quick text to your husband, boyfriend, BFF or mom the next time you’re feeling like a Debbie Downer, and listen for that reply ringtone for some textual healing.
